A historical burgher house situated in the historical centre of city straight on the „Royal Route” in close vicinity of the main entrance gate to Prague Castle (Hradčany). The first historicle written record of building dates back to the 15th century. The preservsd basement rooms are from the Gothic period. Renaissance is represented by the painted beam ceilings while the entrance portal provides evidence of the Baroque reconstruction. The last style which is apparent at the hose gable, forinstance, is Classicism. All the historical elements are truly restored. The house facade is particurarly unique being connected with the 17th century’s famous painter of altar pictures Peter Brandl who was born in this house and lived here. Due to the demanding reconstruction in 1994-95 the house can offer the public the folowing historical rooms: Restaurant facilites on the ground floor beneath Renaissance ceilings and on the basement floors I and II beneath Gothic vaults. Hotel-type rooms on the higher floors where the authencity of history is emphasized alsoby original historical furniture.
